Director & Republic of Loose for free festival
Director, Republic of Loose, The Sultans of Ping and Vesta Varro are amongst a number of Irish acts set to play free gigs in Cork as part of the Indie-pendence festival.
Ireland's only free independent music festival will take place at New Square, Mitchelstown over the August Bank Holiday weekend (August 3 - 6).
Editors had previously been rumoured to appear on the Sunday night (5) but organisers have confirmed that - although talks were held with the band - the Brummie quartet will not be playing.
Their rumoured headline slot will instead be filled by co-headliners Delorentos and Director (pictured).
Republic of Loose will headline on Saturday (3) followed by Sultans of Ping on Sunday (5).
The Monday night will see the bill dominated by world music acts with Niwell Tsumbu and Harry J & The Conspiracy set to perform.
Attendance to all gigs is free and an acoustic stage is yet to be announced.
