'Vampire Weekend for new music festival' image

New York band-of-the-moment Vampire Weekend will showcase their wares to new music fans at The Great Escape festival in Brighton this May.

The festival, which aims to bring the best new acts from across the world to the seaside city, takes place from 15-17 May.

Other acts set to play at various venues around Brighton include strong>The Fatellis, strong>The Futureheads, strong>The Ting Tings, strong>The Automatic,Young Knives, The Hold Steady, The Rascals, Dead Kids,The Wombats, Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, Yeasayer, Black Mountain, No Age, Tunng, Lightspeed Champion, Wild Beasts, Fujiya & Miyagi, Peter Von Poehl, School Of Language The Subways, Black Lips, White Lies, Monobright, Public Service Announcers, Born Ruffians, Broken Mirrors, Ipso Facto, Beat Union, Mother Mother, This City, One Night Only, Teenagers, Crystal Castles, Canterbury, Johnny Foreigner, Ida Maria, Team Waterpolo, Ebony Bones and The Black Angels.
